Terrorists committing terrorist activities have been engaging in battles, firing heavy weapons and improvised rockets and dropping bombs using drones into the public towns, wards and villages.
Since they are committing such terrorist acts, on 24 February 2025 at 4:00 AM, when a so-called PDF terrorist faction conducted an attack by dropping bombs on Lin Dal Village in Naphal Township of Magway Region. The bombs exploded within the village. As a result of the explosions, U San Lone (70 years old) and U Kyaw Thein (32 years old), both residents of the village, died on the spot, while Daw Moe Sandar Sein (28 years old), Daw Lwin Lwin Maw (48 years old), Ma Eait Hmu San (23 years old), Mg Paing Shan (six years old), Mg Bone Lyan Kyaw (10 years old) and Mg Thu Rein Soe (12 years old), also all residents of the village, sustained shrapnel injuries. The injured individuals were transported to Padan Station Hospital for medical treatment, it is reported.
Due to the heinous acts of armed terrorists such as engaging in battles and firing of heavy weapons and improvised rockets within towns, wards and villages where innocent civilians peacefully reside, innocent civilians are injured or killed. Consequently, local residents are protesting vehemently against these acts of terrorism, completely refusing to accept them. Security personnel are intensifying necessary security measures in collaboration with the local residents, it is reported.

In order to cause injuries to both peaceable civilians and administrative authorities who are striving to restore the rule of law, extreme terrorists provide financial assistance and instigate destructive activities, such as detonating explosive devices and remote blasting, against public roads, railways, government offices and houses.
Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 25 February 2025 at 1:20 PM, a report stated that a woman with shrapnel injuries was admitted to Dawei District Public Hospital in Dawei Township of Tanintharyi Region. When security personnel promptly arrived at the hospital for further investigation, it was discovered that the victim was Daw Zin Mar Win (40 years old), a resident of Wa Kone Village in Dawei Township. The incident occurred that she had stepped on an explosive device planted by a so-called PDF terrorist faction while picking betel nuts in an orchard in the village, resulting in her injuries, it is reported.
It has been reported that the security personnel are investigating the culprits of the acts of terrorism from the above incident to take effective action in accordance with the law.

In some townships across States and Regions, terrorists motivated by a radical ideology that views “anyone with differing views is an enemy” are conducting violent assaults and assassinations. Their targets are administrative officials and innocent civilians who do not support their terrorist acts. Using firearms and knives, these terrorists are committing brutal assassinations after accusing them of “spies, informants or decoys”. This strategy is intended to instill fear among peaceable civilians and create a pervasive sense of dread within these communities.

Since they are committing such terrorist acts, on 25 February 2025 at 8:45 AM, a report stated that a woman was shot dead in No.2 Ward, Pakokku Township of Magway Region. When security personnel promptly arrived at the scene for further investigation, it was discovered that Daw Yin Yin Chaw (44 years old), a resident of the ward, was at the Khit Thit wholesale (Beans) when so-called PDF terrorists arriving by a car and opened fire on her. As a result, Daw Yin Yin Chaw died on the spot, it is reported.

Similarly, on 26 February at 6:55 AM, a report stated that a man was shot dead and a woman was gunshot injuries in Nyaung Kone Gyi Village in Paung Township of Mon State. When security personnel promptly arrived at the scene for further investigation, it was discovered that Village Administrator U Myint Soe (67 years old) and his wife, Daw Mi Nge (47 years old), both residents of the village, were at their house when three individuals from KNU members who support terrorism, along with so-called PDF terrorists arriving by two motorcycles and opened fire on them before fleeing. As a result, U Myint Soe died on the spot, while Daw Mi Nge sustained gunshot injuries. The deceased and the injured were transported to Yin Nyein Station Hospital for examination and medical treatment, it is reported. 

Security personnel are persistently taking necessary measures to identify and apprehend the terrorists responsible for the killings and assassinations of administrative official and innocent civilians in the aforementioned cases, it is reported.

It has been reported that the security personnel are investigating the culprits of the acts of terrorism from the above incident to take effective action in accordance with the law.

The incident occurred that when a so-called PDF terrorist faction fired heavy weapons into the victims’ village. One of the heavy weapon shells exploded within the village, resulting in their injuries, it is reported.

When security personnel promptly arrived at the scene for further investigation, it was discovered that U Zaw Min Oo (50 years old), a 100-household elder and resident of the ward, was at the “U Shan Gyi” tea shop when two so-called PDF terrorists arriving by motorcycle and opened fire on him. As a result, U Zaw Min Oo sustained gunshot injuries and was transported to Meiktila District Public Hospital for medical treatment. However, he succumbed his injuries being transported to the hospital, it is reported.
Security personnel are persistently taking necessary measures to identify and apprehend the terrorists responsible for the killings and assassinations of administrative officials in the aforementioned cases, it is reported.

The government has cracked down on criminal activities in border areas including online gambling and scams effectively and, today, detained 150 more illegal migrants who entered Shwe Kokko and KK Park - Myawady through illegal routes.

Combined teams of relevant departments are collecting their personal information and documents within a day in order to repatriate them to relevant countries as soon as possible.

Between 30 January and 24 February, 2025, a total of 2,370 illegal foreign migrants were uncovered and detained and 673 of them have been repatriated to relevant countries through Thailand in accordance with the law, rules and regulations. The remaining 1,697 illegal migrants are ready for repatriation. The 2,370 illegal foreign migrants include citizens of China, Indonesia, Vietnam, Malaysia, Pakistan, India, Uganda, Ethiopia, Nepal, Thailand, Rwanda, Kenya, Kazakhstan, Cambodia and China (Taipei) and majority of them are from China.

The government has been actively collaborating with international partners to effectively crack down on illegal activities, including online gambling, online scams, and other criminal offenses.

Particularly, foreign nationals who have illegally entered and resided in border areas, engaging in online gambling and online scam operations, are being investigated, identified, and systematically deported to their respective countries in accordance with legal procedures.

In the ongoing investigations, today, an additional 200 foreign nationals were detained. These individuals had illegally entered Myanmar through border routes, transiting through neighboring countries, and were involved in illegal online gambling and online scams in areas such as Myawady, Shwe Kokko, KK Park, and Mehtaw Thalay in Kayin State. Authorities are now collecting necessary personal information and records to facilitate their swift repatriation to their respective countries, with interdepartmental teams working around the clock to complete the process.

During the operations, Kayin State Government’s Minister for Security and Border Affairs, Colonel Min Thu Kyaw, and other officials inspected the detention facilities where the foreign nationals are being held. They reviewed the personal details and records of the newly detained individuals and coordinated necessary measures for their repatriation.

From January 30 to February 26, 2025, a total of 2,738 foreign nationals who illegally entered Myanmar have been identified Additional 200 foreign nationals illegally entering the country detained. Additional 200 foreign nationals illegally entering the country detained. and detained. Of these, 673 have already been repatriated to their respective countries via Thailand, following legal procedures. The remaining 2,065 foreign nationals are ready to be transferred to their respective countries and are being held in proper custody.

Combined teams of relevant departments are collecting their personal information and documents within a day to repatriate them to relevant countries as soon as possible.

Moreover, Minister for Security and Border Affairs Col Min Thu Kyaw of Kayin State Government and officials inspected the proper detention of illegal migrants this morning and the collection of personal information and documents of the 168 more illegal migrants detained today.

Then, the security and border affairs minister met with departmental officials and coordinated necessary measures for collecting correct and complete information, providing healthcare, accommodation and food and facilitating the repatriation process of illegal migrants without delays.

During the period from 30 January to 25 February, 2025, a total of 2,538 illegal foreign migrants to Myanmar were uncovered and detained and 673 of them were properly repatriated to relevant countries through Thailand in accordance with the law, rules and regulations and the remaining 1,865 illegal migrants are ready for repatriation to their countries while they are being detained properly.

I was told by Chinese national Sai Cua, who I was familiar with online, that I would get a marketing job in Thailand and the salary would be discussed when we met in person. So, I left Noi Bar Airport, Vietnam for Bangkok by air on 8 November, 2024. A Thai national came to meet and greet me at the airport and took me to Mae Sot.

Then, we crossed a creek by a motorized boat. On arrival at the other bank, I was taken by a car, which was waiting for me, to the 100-acre Myitta Lin Myaing site in Myawady. I had to handle computer marketing online and find customers for the Dang Chu company owned by a Chinese national.

I was paid 25,500 Baht per month.

Mr. Qiau Ke Ji, China (Taipei)

My education status is post high school level. I had worked in online scam centres before. I was told online that I would get a gold smuggling job in Bangkok and would be paid 50,000 Baht.

So, I left Tai Zhong Airport for Bangkok by air on 23 March, 2024. I stayed one night at a Bangkok hotel and continued to  Mae Sot by a car owned by a Thai national. On arrival at Mae Sot, I crossed the river by motorized boat to the 100-acre site in Myitta Lin Myaing Village in Myawady. I got a job in the Huan Ya company owned by Chinese national Zhong Guo and had to work for online scam operations.

I was paid 12,500 Baht per month.

Mrs. Shi Rong Min (Chinese national)

My education status is university level. I was persuaded by a Chinese national through WeChat that I would have to smuggle gold in Thailand and would be paid handsomely. So, I left Shi Bi Zian city, China, for Bangkok by air on 12 September, 2024. On arrival in Bangkok, I was taken by a Thai national to Mae Sot, where I crossed a river to Myanmar by motorized boat.

I had to work in the Huan Ya company owned by Chinese national Zhong Guo in the 100- acre site in Myitta Lin Myaing Village in Myawady. I had to work for online scam operations. I was not paid.
