Administrative Officials Recklessly Assassinated by So-called PDF Terrorists

In some townships across States and Regions, terrorists motivated by a radical ideology that views “anyone with differing views is an enemy” are conducting violent assaults and assassinations. Their targets are administrative officials who do not support their terrorist acts. Using firearms and knives, these terrorists are committing brutal assassinations after accusing them of “spies, informants or decoys”. This strategy is intended to instill fear among peaceable civilians and create a pervasive sense of dread within these communities.
Since they are committing such terrorist acts, on 23 February 2025 at 6:00 AM, a report stated that a man was shot dead in That Yin Taw Village, Magway Township of Magway Region. When security personnel promptly arrived at the scene for further investigation, it was discovered that Village Administrator U Than Zaw (52 years old), a resident of the village, was at his house when two so-called PDF terrorists arriving by motorcycle and opened fire on him. As a result, the victim died on the spot, it is reported.
Similarly, at 8:30 AM, a report stated that a man was shot dead in Wunzin Ward, Meiktila Township of Mandalay Region. When security personnel promptly arrived at the scene for further investigation, it was discovered that U Zaw Min Oo (50 years old), a 100-household elder and resident of the ward, was at the “U Shan Gyi” tea shop when two so-called PDF terrorists arriving by motorcycle and opened fire on him. As a result, U Zaw Min Oo sustained gunshot injuries and was transported to Meiktila District Public Hospital for medical treatment. However, he succumbed his injuries being transported to the hospital, it is reported.
Security personnel are persistently taking necessary measures to identify and apprehend the terrorists responsible for the killings and assassinations of administrative officials in the aforementioned cases, it is reported.
