Nay Pyi Taw Council Chairman U Than Tun Oo, accompanied by officials, on July 1st, visited the Sin Thay Creek on the Lay Thar-Zee Kone road in Zayyarthiri Township and inspected the crop cultivation along both sides of the road and the creek, providing necessary instructions to the officials.

Following this, Chairman U Than Tun Oo visited the Uppatasanti Pagoda and inspected the progress of restoration and renovation work on the platform, terraces, and precincts damaged by the earthquake, as well as clearing operations, cement grouting, and soil stabilization efforts. He also observed the excavation and repair of the original platform flooring.

The Chairman provided necessary guidance and presented food and drinks to the Tatmadaw personnel involved in the work.

Next, Chairman U Than Tun Oo proceeded to the Yaza-Htani Road and inspected the ongoing repair work on road sections damaged by the earthquake and issued relevant instructions.

After that, Chairman U Than Tun Oo attended and delivered the opening remarks at an awareness workshop on designating tobacco-free zones in Nay Pyi Taw, Union Territory, held at the Nay Pyi Taw Council, Zambu Thiri Hall.

Subsequently, the Deputy Director-General of the Department of Public Health (Disease Control) presented on the dangers of tobacco and the establishment of tobacco-free zones.Then, the attendees discussed matters related to their respective sectors, and the Nay Pyi Taw Council Chairman provided instructions and coordinated necessary actions.

Kayah State Chief Minister U Zaw Myo Tin inspected development and rehabilitation efforts in villages along the Loikaw-Moebye-Pinlaung Road on Thursday.The Chief Minister and party visited Kayan Thaya, Htiri, Kone Thar, Hsaung Kan, Warikawku, and Pikinkawku villages to observe resettlement efforts, road repairs for better transport access, and the condition of schools, healthcare centers, and agriculture-based industries.They oversaw the repair work on a concrete road damaged by flooding near milepost 88/4, and inspected land clearing activities along the border of Kayah and Shan States. The Chief Minister urged speedy completion to ease travel and trade.He also visited Moebye Creek to assess irrigation potential and inspected the basic education schools, rice and oil mills, monastic schools, and power and water needs. He called for systematic resettlement and full restoration of basic services.At Kayan Thaya Substation, the Chief Minister coordinated efforts for power restoration to Loikaw Industrial Zone and surrounding villages, and also discussed repairing national grid transmission lines. Later, he visited the Nwar Lawoe Rural Health Center and instructed continued healthcare services. Development Works: Recovery efforts in earthquake-hit villages
Development works are being carried out at two earthquake-hit villages of Magyipin and Nyaung Pin Tha in Nay Pyi Taw Tatkone Township.On Wednesday, Chairman of the Work Committee on the Development of a Resilient and Strong Social Community Union Minister at the State Administration Council Chairman’s Office U Ko Ko Hlaing visited the villages to oversee the work progress.As part of the rehabilitation efforts, sewing training course has been conducted for the women in Magyipin Village-tract for income generation and creating job opportunities. In addition, the national registration cards have been issued to the local populace and students under the Pan Khin Project Phase-3. Likewise, embankment has been built along Nawin Creek while health care services are being provided for the villages by the specialists from 100-bed People’s Hospital of Tatkone.In addition, staff from Social Welfare Department are providing caring service to those for venerable groups. Efforts are also made for development of livestock breeding sector, ensuring food sufficiency in the village.It is learnt that plans are underway to develop tourism in ancient historic Thar Kho Taung area as part of Nyaung Pin Tha Resort. During the visit, the Union Minister pledged to provide assistance for recovery efforts, and outlined the plan for community tourism for creating job opportunities. Yangon Region Chief Minister U Soe Thein, and members of the Region Government conducted a field inspection of local development projects in Taikkyi and Shwepyithar Townships on July 14.First, the Chief Minister and officials inspected the Thanakchaung Creek Reservoir near the livestock breeding zone in Taikkyi Township. They observed the water discharge from the spillway, the current water storage, the reservoir's capacity and structural integrity, water supply to the breeding zone, and areas designated for fish farms within and around the reservoir's vicinity.Officials briefed on the project status, and the Chief Minister provided necessary instructions before touring the Taikkyi livestock breeding zone to inspect the progress of ongoing work. Subsequently, the Chief Minister and officials proceeded to Shwepyithar Township.They inspected the work being carried out by the Yangon City Development Committee, Engineering Department (Water & Sanitation Management), to improve water flow in Leikpok Creek along No. 4 Highway. They also observed the construction of brick drains and water flow improvements by the Engineering Department at the intersection of Hlawga Road and No. 4 Road. To ensure the timely completion of construction and regional development projects in Myitkyina, Kachin State, Chief Minister U Khet Htein Nan, accompanied by State Ministers and departmental officials, conducted a field inspection on July 14.First, the Chief Minister, along with the officials, inspected the Kachin State Cultural Museum in Ayeyar Ward, Myitkyina. They toured the newly completed extended building, where exhibits showcasing the traditional cultures and customs of local ethnic groups are displayed using modern exhibition techniques.The Chief Minister coordinated efforts to ensure a more comprehensive display of tangible and intangible ethnic cultures with complete historical documentation through modern systems, to facilitate coordination with literary and cultural organizations, and to provide necessary resources.Next, the Chief Minister visited the construction site of the new City Hall in Myitkyina, which is being built with a modern and fresh urban design incorporating Kachin traditional patterns. At the briefing area, officials from Jade Land Myanmar Company, responsible for the construction of the new hall, and the Director of the State Development Committee, presented the work to be carried out in different fiscal years.The Chief Minister provided the necessary support. From there, the Chief Minister and officials proceeded to Yay Kyi in Pammati Ward. They inspected the area of Yay Kyi Field, which covers 15 acres along the Union Highway, and where waterlogging has occurred.They assessed the condition of the drainage system to improve water flow and coordinated efforts for concrete road construction and widening the drainage channels. After that, the Chief Minister and officials visited the construction site of the Yay Kyi Stream water control gate, which is part of the measures to protect the city from river flooding. On 12th July, Nay Pyi Taw Council Chairman U Than Tun Oo and officials inspected the repair works of road sections on Yarzathingaha main road and Myat Lay road, damaged by earthquake  and instructed to complete as soon as possible, meeting the set standard.At the Ottarathiri Dam, the Council Chairman viewed the repair of conduit, and status of spillway and diversion canal. On 13th July, the Council Chairman participated in Monsoon Tree planting ceremony held in Lewe Township and planted Padauk tree. He then encouraged the participants in tree planting activity, and provided fund to repair the village entrance road.Then, the Council Chairman attended the ceremony for selecting quality species where he instructed to select good quality seeds which suitable for the region, to meet the targeted yield and to use natural fertilizer. After that, the Nay Pyi Taw Council Chairman and officials inspected the repair work at platforms damaged by quake near InnGyin roundabout and asphalt paving along Yarzathingaha and Yarzahtarni roads.mitv
