NORTH Korea’s Kim Jong Un would face the end of his regime if he used his nuclear weapons against the South, its president said Tuesday, as Seoul staged a parade showcasing its military prowess.

Fighter jets flew over downtown Seoul and tanks rolled through the streets, as South Korea displayed weaponry including its largest ballistic missile, the Hyunmoo-5, which is capable of destroying underground bunkers, for the first time.

MYANMAR’S Shan United will host the 2024-2025 AFC Challenge League Group D matches at the Thuwunna Youth Training Centre in Yangon.

The tournament will be divided between the East and West Asian zones, with the West Asian zone featuring four teams in three groups and the East Asian zone having three teams in two groups. Shan United will compete in Group D of the East Asian zone alongside Chinese Taipei’s Taichung Futuro and Laos’ Young Elephant.

THE celebration for the International Day of Older Persons took place yesterday morning at the Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief, and Resettlement in Nay Pyi Taw.

During the event, the Union Minister shared that, according to the 2019 Interim Census, the population of senior citizens aged 60 and above in Myanmar was approximately 5.2 million. This number is projected to increase to over 6.5 million by 2024, based on estimates from the Department of Population.
