Security forces accused of killing one in Myingyan

MALICIOUS media outlets intentionally spread fake news, claiming that security forces killed an innocent civilian in Nganan Village, Myingyan Township, Mandalay Region, on 26 February.

Govt approves sisal cultivation on idle land

THE Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation stated that the government will grant a permit to use vacant, fallow and virgin land for sisal production in line with the existing law.
Sisal, a tropical and sub-tropical plant, thrives in temperatures above 25 degrees Celsius, and this drought-resistant plant can be grown in dry regions. Sisal plants can reduce soil erosion, and they are resilient to natural disasters compared to other crops.

Shwedagon to host 2,613th Buddha Pujaniya Taboung festival

THE 2,613th Buddha Pujaniya Taboung Festival will be held at the Shwedagon Pagoda for ten days, from 4 to 13 March, according to the pagoda board of trustees.
During the festival, the board of trustees will hold ceremonies dedicated to worshipping the Buddha, the Dhamma, and the Sangha.

China amends military regulations to emphasise the need for war readiness

Thailand central bank cuts rate amid US tariff worries
