Arsenal signs striker Gyokeres on 5-year deal

Arsenal has sealed the signing of Swedish striker Viktor Gyokeres from Sporting Lisbon for 55 million pounds, with a possible extra 8.5 million pounds in incentives. Gyokeres has agreed a five-year deal with the London-based club after passing his medical tests on Saturday and will now join up with his new teammates in Singapore. Arsenal has been busy in this summer's transfer market, with the arrival of players.

FIFA inaugurates a regional office in Morocco ahead of 2030 World Cup

FIFA inaugurated Saturday a regional office in Morocco as the kingdom ramps up preparations for the 2030 World Cup which it will host jointly with Spain and Portugal. Morocco will be the second African nation to host the World Cup in 2030, following South Africa's edition in 2010.  FIFA's other African offices are located in Senegal, the Republic of Congo, Rwanda, and South Africa.

Dangerous heat continues across Japan on Sunday

Japanese weather officials expect Sunday to be another scorching day across the country. Temperatures are expected to reach dangerous levels of 38 degrees Celsius or higher in the Kinki region.

People are advised to continue taking measures to avoid heatstroke. The Meteorological Agency says a high-pressure system will cover areas near the country's main island of Honshu, bringing sunny and hot weather. Daytime highs will rise to 35 degrees or higher in many regions.

99% of India’s exports to UK now duty-free under Free Trade Agreement

Ninety-nine percent of India’s exports to the United Kingdom will now enter duty-free, announced Commerce and Industry Minister, after the historic signing of the India-UK Free Trade Agreement (FTA).

Speaking at a press briefing in New Delhi, Minister Goyal hailed the agreement as “game-changing”, highlighting that it will benefit farmers, youth, MSMEs, and industries across India. This agreement is expected to greatly enhance bilateral trade and open new markets for Indian exports in the UK.
