These acts include the destruction of school textbooks and stationery, the intimidation and abduction of education staff and students, targeted killings, the planting of explosive devices to destroy educational buildings and sending threatening letters to the teachers.

Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 30 July 2025 at 9:40 AM, a report stated that threatening letters were found in the Basic Education High School in Maung Ma Village, Khayan Township of Yangon Region. When security personnel arrived at the scene for further investigation, they discovered sheets of papers with threatening texts near the school’s entrance door and on the road outside the school compound, dropped by a so-called PDF terrorist group. Security personnel removed the papers. The school currently has 21 teachers and 430 students, it is reported.

It has been reported that the security personnel are investigating the culprits of the acts of terrorism from the above incident to take effective action in accordance with the law.

The terrorists robbed a vehicle, two motorcycles, a mobile phone and abducted U Myint Naing. The terrorists took him toward Nyaung Pin Wyne Village, it is reported.

When security personnel arrived at the hospital for further investigation, the victim was identified as U San Oo (67 years old), a resident of Pan Dat Inn Village in Launglon Township. The incident had occurred on 29 July at 6:00 PM, while the victim was his house, a heavy weapon shell, reportedly fired by so-called PDF terrorist group, exploded nearby. As a result, the victim sustained shrapnel injuries, it is reported.

It has been reported that the security personnel are investigating the culprits of the acts of terrorism from the above incident to take effective action in accordance with the law.

When he reached an area approximately three furlongs south of Kya Pin (South) Village, he accidentally stepped on a land mine planted by a so-called PDF terrorist group. The mine exploded, resulting in his injuries, it is reported.

Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 28 July 2025 at 5:00 PM, six so-called PDF terrorists arriving by three motorcycles at the “DENKO” fuel station along the Nyaung-U – Kyaukpadaung road, near Taung Ba Village in Nyaung-U Township in Mandalay Region. The terrorists robbed four mobile phones, two pairs of gold earrings, two motorcycles, and 500,000 MMK in fuel sale proceeds from the station employees. They also forcibly took a white colored Honda Fit vehicle belonging to U San Yu (38 years old), a resident of Bone Taw Village in Nyaung-U Township, which was being refueled at the time. Additionally, the terrorists abducted the station manager, U Win Myint Tun (aka) U Nyi Nyi Tun (40 years old), a resident of No. 5 Ward in Nyaung-U Town, and the assistant manager, U San Lwin Oo (42 years old), a resident of Taung Ba Village in Nyaung-U Township. The terrorists took them toward Nyaung Tho Village. In response to the incident, security personnel launched clearance operations in the area based on the received information. 

During the ongoing security clearance operations, about five miles southwest of the fuel station, between Kan Pauk (East) Village and Kyauk Kan Village, four so-called PDF terrorists opened fire on security personnel. The security personnel returned fire, and in the ensuing exchange, two of so-called PDF terrorists were killed while the remaining two fled the scene. Security personnel recovered the following weapons from the deceased terrorists: one MA-13 rifle with 10 rounds of ammunition and one magazine, and one MA-1 rifle with 10 rounds of ammunition and one magazine. 

Regarding the aforementioned incident, the Nyaung-U Township Police Station has opened a case under Criminal Case No. 62/2025, in accordance with Section 50(b) of the Counter-Terrorism Law, to apprehend the terrorists involved. Security personnel are continuing operations in line with standard security protocols to rescue the abducted individuals and recover the stolen property, it is reported.

The incident had occurred 10:00 AM, on the same day while the victim was farming at a maize plantation located south of his village, a heavy weapon shell, reportedly fired by Ta’ang National Liberation Army (TNLA) terrorist group, exploded nearby. As a result, the victim sustained shrapnel injuries, it is reported.

Similarly, at 3:15 PM, a report stated that a man with shrapnel injuries was admitted to the Pyin Oo Lwin Township Public Hospital of Mandalay Region. When security personnel arrived at the hospital for further investigation, the victim was identified as U Kyaw Win (50 years old), a resident of Lon Wal Village in Naungcho Township of Shan State. The incident had occurred 11:30 AM, on the same day while the victim was at his house, a heavy weapon shell, reportedly fired by Ta’ang National Liberation Army (TNLA) terrorist group, exploded nearby. As a result, the victim sustained shrapnel injuries, it is reported.

The law primarily aims to protect military grand strategies, strategies, tactics, and matters related to military training, technologies and technical systems concerning naval vessels, aircraft, other vehicles, machinery, weapons, ammunition, and military equipment used by Tatmadaw, production and installation techniques, military technologies, procedures, or systems, and relevant measures officially announced by the relevant ministry from time to time as military secrets.

The objectives of this law are to contribute to the national security of the country by protecting and safeguarding military secrets and to prevent the training, assistance, or involvement in the use of military secrets by foreign governments, foreign military organizations, non-military foreign organizations, unauthorized armed groups, or any other individuals, and to prevent the exchange or transfer of such military secrets to them.

The State Administration Council continues to invite individuals within various organizations, including the PDF, who are taking up arms against the state, to re-enter the legal fold.

The SAC is providing necessary assistance and support to those who choose to do so. On July 27, 13 members from the so-called MDY-PDF group, having understood and accepted the peace processes of the State and the Tatmadaw, have additionally rejoined the legal framework.

A ceremony was held at a local military hall in Mandalay to welcome these 13 male members of the MDY-PDF group who re-entered the legal fold and to hand them back to their parents. The event was attended by officials from the Central Command, the returning group members, and their parents.

Firstly, officials provided explanations regarding legal provisions. Subsequently, the returning MDY-PDF members signed pledges and were formally handed over to their parents or guardians. Officials then provided them with financial assistance and supplies.

One of the individuals who re-entered the legal framework expressed his gratitude. The State Administration Council continues to warmly welcome and provide necessary assistance to those who re-enter the legal framework, systematically handing them back to their parents and guardians.

From July 17 to 27, a total of 97 individuals have rejoined the legal fold, including 4 members of the TNLA, 41 members of the DPLA, and 52 members of the MDY-PDF. They have brought with them 13 various weapons, 1515 rounds of assorted ammunition, and 12 magazines.

It is learnt that there are still individuals who wish to re-enter the legal framework. Those who desire to do so are urged to contact their nearest District and Township Administrative Bodies, military camps, or police stations immediately. They will be welcomed, provided with necessary assistance and support, and rewards will be given for surrendered weapons and ammunition.
