Since they are committing such terrorist acts, on 18 July 2025 at 2:20 PM, a report stated that a woman was shot dead in Pat Ngar Sal Village, Sagaing Township of Sagaing Region. When security personnel conducted further investigation, the victim was identified as Daw Ohn Mar (54 years old), a resident of the village. The incident occurred on 17 July 2025 at 12:00 PM, when the victim was at her house, approximately 20 so-called PDF terrorists arriving by five motorcycles and a car and opened fire on her. As a result, Daw Ohn Mar died on the spot, it is reported.

Security personnel are persistently taking necessary measures to identify and apprehend the terrorists responsible for the aforementioned case, it is reported.

Amid escalating intercommunal violence in Syria’s Sweida governorate, and Israel’s resumed and intensified airstrikes on Syrian territory, Assistant Secretary-General Khaled Khiari on 17 July called on Israel and Syria to “refrain from any action that would further undermine” the 1974 Disengagement of Forces Agreement “and the stability on the Golan.”

When security personnel arrived at the scene for further investigation, the victim was identified as U Kyaw Htoo (62 years old), a sub-village in-charge and a resident of Lay Eain Su Village. The incident had occurred at 8:00 AM, while he was returning home from Ye Town on his motorcycle. He was gunned down near Thin Gan Kyun Village by a so-called PDF terrorist group. As a result, U Kyaw Htoo died on the spot, it is reported.

They are also indiscriminately planting landmines on public roads, targeting government offices with explosives and engaging in destructive acts without regard for reason or morality.

 Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 16 July 2025 at 4:10 AM, a heavy weapon shell, fired by a combined group of KIA armed insurgents and so-called PDF terrorists exploded in Aye Yar Ward, Myitkyina Township of Kachin State. As a result, the Township Education Officer’s Office located in the ward was severely damaged. Additionally, Ma Kyal Sin Lin Lae (16 years old) and Mg Soe Moe Htet (15 years old), both residents of the ward, sustained shrapnel injuries. The injured children were transported to Myitkyina District Public Hospital for medical treatment, it is reported.

 It has been reported that the security personnel are investigating the culprits of the acts of terrorism from the above incident to take effective action in accordance with the law.

It’s reported that two Thai nationals, wanted in Thailand for drug offenses and arrested in Tachileik, Myanmar, on July 1, have been handed over to Thailand in accordance with the Memorandum of Understanding on Myanmar-Thailand Cooperation on Drug Control.

It’s reported that two Thai nationals, wanted in Thailand for drug offenses and arrested in Tachileik, Myanmar, on July 1, have been handed over to Thailand in accordance with the Memorandum of Understanding on Myanmar-Thailand Cooperation on Drug Control.

According to the information shared by Thailand's Office of the Narcotics Control Board (ONCB) to Myanmar's Central Committee for Drug Abuse Control (CCDAC), requesting assistance in investigating, identifying, and apprehending Mr. Techin Nowong and Mr. Chamang Kanthawong, two individuals who committed drug offenses in Thailand and fled to Myanmar.

Acting on this intelligence, the Drug Enforcement Division of Myanmar Police Force investigated and arrested the two wanted fugitives on July 1, 2025, in the Pa Sat Ward of Tachileik Township.

In accordance with the Memorandum of Understanding on Myanmar-Thailand Cooperation on Drug Control, the CCDAC team led by Police Brigadier General Thant Lwin Maung, Joint Secretary of the Central Committee for Drug Abuse Control and Commander of the Drug Enforcement Division, officially handed over the two wanted individuals to an ONCB team led by Police Lt-Gen. Phanurat Lukoon, Secretary-General of the ONCB, at 2:30 PM Myanmar Standard Time on July 16, at Myanmar-Thailand Friendship Bridge (2).

According to the  Myanmar Police Force, this mutual identification, arrest, and handover of fugitives who commit drug offenses and flee across borders to continue engaging in transnational drug crimes, under the bilateral drug cooperation program, will not only strengthen the friendly relations between the two countries but also enhance the effectiveness and success of regional drug control efforts.

India Monday received its second GE-404 engine from the US for the LCA Mark 1A fighter jet programme. Hindustan Aeronautics Limited will integrate the engine into Tejas jets, with 12 more units expected by March 2026. The Indian Air Force has ordered 83 jets, with 97 more under consideration.

UN Chief warns Suweida violence

 “The Secretary-General is alarmed by the continued escalation of violence in Suweida,” UN spokesperson Stéphane Dujarric said, as deadly clashes in southern Syria continue to displace civilians and overwhelm health services. Speaking to reporters on July 16th, Dujarric stated the Secretary-General was deeply concerned by reports that hundreds have been killed in Suweida, including civilians, and that many more have been injured or forced to flee.

On 15 July at 1:00 PM, a heavy weapon shell, fired by a combined group of Ta’ang National Liberation Army (TNLA) terrorists and so-called PDF terrorists, exploded in the vicinity of the victim’s village, causing his injuries, it is reported.

It has been reported that the security personnel are investigating the culprits of the acts of terrorism from the above incident to take effective action in accordance with the law.
