Since they are committing such terrorist acts, on 31 May 2025 at 4:00 PM, when a so-called PDF terrorist group fired heavy weapons into Nyin Maw Village in Launglon Township of Tanintharyi Region. One of the shells exploded within the village. As a result, Ma Moe Moe (aka) Hnin Shwe Hmone (four years old), a resident of the village, sustained shrapnel injuries and was transported to Dawei Township Public Hospital for medical treatment. Unfortunately, the child succumbed to her injuries while receiving medical treatment, it is reported.

Due to the heinous acts of armed terrorists such as engaging in battles and firing of heavy weapons and improvised rockets within towns, wards and villages where innocent civilians peacefully reside, the child have been killed. Consequently, local residents are protesting vehemently against these acts of terrorism, completely refusing to accept them. Security personnel are intensifying necessary security measures in collaboration with the local residents, it is reported.

When security personnel arrived at the scene for further investigation, they discovered that the victims were identified as Ko Kyal Sin Tun (21 years old) and his younger brother, Mg Kaung Min Khant (17 years old), both residents of Nyaung Kone Village in Sagaing Township of Sagaing Region. The incident occurred while they were at their house when a so-called PDF terrorist group arrived and opened fire on them, resulting in their injuries, it is reported.

Security personnel are persistently taking necessary measures to identify and apprehend the terrorists responsible for the aforementioned case, it is reported.

When security personnel arrived at the unit for further investigation, they discovered that U Soe Aung (61 years old), a member of the Public Security and Counter-terrorism group and a resident of Hlaing Wa Village in Kawkareik Township. He had stepped on stepped on an explosive device planted by a terrorist group while cutting woods in a forest near Hlaing Kwal Village. The device exploded, resulting in his injuries, it is reported.
It has been reported that the security personnel are investigating the culprits of the acts of terrorism from the above incident to take effective action in accordance with the law.

He stepped on an explosive device planted by a so-called PDF terrorist group, which then exploded, resulting in his injuries, it is reported.
It has been reported that the security personnel are investigating the culprits of the acts of terrorism from the above incident to take effective action in accordance with the law.

1.     The Tatmadaw has already declared a temporary cessation of military operations during the period from 6th to 31st May 2025 with the aim of facilitating swift humanitarian and reconstruction operations in the areas affected by the powerful Mandalay earthquake.

2.     Currently, the State is intensively engaging in reconstruction of damaged government offices and departments, public residences and transport facilities and rehabilitation undertakings in the earthquake-affected areas, while the international community is rendering a helping hand.

3.     In addition, preparations are in progress to hold a free and fair multi-party democracy general election as per the Constitution without fail this year. Region-wise peace and stability is a requisite on the polling day for all the eligible voters in the entire country to cast votes.

4.     In this regard, the Tatmadaw extends the temporary ceasefire period from 1st to 30th June 2025 in order to facilitate rehabilitation and reconstruction activities in earthquake-affected areas, to hold a free and fair multi-party democracy general election successfully, to serve the interest of the entire nation and people with greater acceleration, to achieve genuine and long-lasting peace and in view of peace and stability.

5.     During this period, all ethnic armed organizations and other armed groups are warned against disrupting and destroying public transportation and communication routes, endangering civilian lives and property, attacking security forces’ bases that are enforcing the rule of law or military command headquarters and mobilizing or regrouping troops and expanding territories that may undermine peace. Any violation will prompt necessary defensive measures by the Tatmadaw to protect the people.

Israeli Prime Minister Benja min Netanyahu has agreed to the latest ceasefire proposal put forward by US special envoy Steve Witkoff, according to local media reports.

Having informed the families of the surviving Israeli hostages of this development, Netanyahu claimed that Israel is ready to go ahead with the deal. 

Hamas, in the meantime, is less enthusiastic about the new US proposal, pointing out that it does not guarantee that this temporary ceasefire would translate into a permanent one.

The foundation announced on Wednesday that it had given out roughly 840,000 meals at two distribution points in the territory.
