US conducts military exercises at Panama Canal

The United States military teamed with Panamanian police to conduct a series of new exercises aimed at protecting the Panama Canal.

To kick off the drills, three US Army helicopters, two UH-60 Black Hawk helicopters and a CH-47 Chinook arrived at the Panama-Pacific Airport. Subcommissioner of Panama's National Aeronaval Service said the exercises would prepare Panama's forces, as well as countries in the region, against any threats to the security and defense of the canal.

Since they are conducting such terrorist acts on 11 July 2025 at 9:30 AM, a combined group of pro-terrorism KNU members, along with so-called PDF terrorists conducted an attack by dropping bombs using a drone on Ka Nyunt Kwin Town, Phyu Township, Bago Region. One of the bombs exploded within No. 2, Ward of the town. As a result, Daw Naw Li Soe (39 years old), a resident of the ward, sustained shrapnel injuries and was transported to Ka Nyunt Kwin Station Hospital for medical treatment, it is reported.

 It has been reported that the security personnel are investigating the culprits of the acts of terrorism from the above incident to take effective action in accordance with the law.

 Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 13 July 2025 at 10:45 AM, five so-called PDF terrorists arrived by motorboat at a temporarily closed fish wholesale shop owned by Daw Phyu Phyu Win (46 years old), located in No. 2 Ward, Palaw Township of Tanintharyi Region. They opened fire with small arms and set the shop on fire, completely destroying it. As a result, a two-story reinforced concrete (RC) building measuring 25 feet in length, 20 feet in width and 20 feet in height was burned down and severely damaged, it is reported.

It has been reported that the security personnel are investigating the culprits of the acts of terrorism from the above incident to take effective action in accordance with the law.

When he was at his house, six so-called PDF terrorists arriving by three motorcycles and gunned him down, accusing him of being a “decoy”. As a result, U Myo Myint died on the spot, it is reported.

Security personnel are persistently taking necessary measures to identify and apprehend the terrorists responsible for the aforementioned case, it is reported.

The incident had occurred on 10 July 2025 at 1:00 AM, when a heavy weapon shell fired by a so-called PDF terrorist group exploded in the victim’s yard, causing her injuries, it is reported.

When security personnel arrived at the hospital for further investigation, the victim was identified as U Khin Maung Swe (40 years old) a resident of Yae La Maw Village in Watlet Township of Sagaing Region. He had sustained shrapnel wounds to his eye, shoulder, and leg. Upon investigation, it was found that the incident occurred at around 9:30 AM near the Irrawaddy River port on the eastern side of Ye Lay Maw Village. At the time, U Khin Maung Swe had been loading and unloading goods when a heavy weapon shell, fired by so-called PDF terrorists, exploded nearby, causing his injuries, it is reported.
