The Peruvian government issued an official complaint to Colombia over the recent "violation of Peruvian airspace" of a military aircraft that flew over Santa Rosa Island, a small territory on the Amazon River that is at the center of a border dispute between the two countries.

Peruvian Prime Minister Eduardo Arana said at a press conference at the headquarters of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers in Lima that "they had no official knowledge of the arrival of this aircraft".
