  • Indian Docks in Singapore Marking Strengthened Maritime Ties

On the occasion of Singapore's 60th National Day, Indian Navy’s first indigenous Survey Vessel made a symbolic and strategic arrival at the Port of Singapore. The three-day port call by this survey vessel underscores deepening maritime cooperation between the Indian Navy and Singapore’s maritime agencies.

It highlights shared hydrographic interests and signals India’s growing leadership in regional maritime diplomacy. Commissioned in February 2024 in the presence of Defense Minister, vessel is equipped for full-scale coastal and deep-water surveys. It also has capabilities for humanitarian assistance, supported by an onboard helicopter and hospital facilities.
