  • Innocent Civilians Injured in Heavy Weapon Attacks on Villages by Terrorists

Insurgents committing terrorist activities have been engaging in battles, firing heavy weapons and improvised rockets and dropping bombs using drones into the public towns, wards and villages.
Since they are committing such terrorist acts, on 15 February 2025 at 9:30 AM, a report stated that two men with shrapnel injuries were admitted to Mandalay Public Hospital in Chanayetharzan Township of Mandalay Region. When security personnel promptly arrived at the hospital for further investigation, it was discovered that the victims were U Than Aung (50 years old), a resident of Ma Gyi Kan Village in Natogyi Township and Ko Chit Thal (23 years old), a resident of Pal Chat Village in Natogyi Township. The incident occurred that when a so-called PDF terrorist faction fired heavy weapons into the victims’ villages. The heavy weapon shells exploded within their villages, resulting in their injuries, it is reported.
Similarly, at 3:30 PM, a report stated that two women with shrapnel injuries were admitted to Mandalay Public Hospital in Chanayetharzan Township of Mandalay Region. When security personnel promptly arrived at the hospital for further investigation, it was discovered that the victims were Ma Lae Lae Aye (22 years old) and Daw Kaung (65 years old), both residents of Tha Ya Kan (South) Village in Mahlaing Township. The incident occurred that when a so-called PDF terrorist faction fired heavy weapons into the victims’ village. The heavy weapon shells exploded within the village, resulting in their injuries, it is reported.
Due to the heinous acts of armed terrorists such as engaging in battles and firing of heavy weapons and improvised rockets within towns, wards and villages where innocent civilians peacefully reside, innocent civilians and monks are injured or killed. Consequently, local residents are protesting vehemently against these acts of terrorism, completely refusing to accept them. Security personnel are intensifying necessary security measures in collaboration with the local residents, it is reported.
