  • Representatives from Myanmar, Thailand, China hold talks to repatriate foreigners who were involved in telecom frauds, criminal activities as soon as possible

Representatives from Myanmar, Thailand and China met in Mae Sot, Thailand this morning and held talks to repatriate foreigners who were involved in telecom frauds and criminal activities as soon as possible.

Present at the meeting were the Myanmar delegation led by Deputy Chief (1) of the  Myanmar Police Force Police Maj-Gen Tin Ko Ko, the delegation led by Deputy Governor Mr. Narongchai Jindaphan of Tak Province, Thailand and the delegation led by Deputy Director General Mr. Liu Ning Ning of the Criminal Investigation Department of the Ministry of Public Security, China.

During the meeting, they discussed the acceleration of crackdown on online scams and online gambling in cooperation among Myanmar, Thailand and China, proper  implementation of the process for repatriation among countries of origin, transit and arrival, measures for cooperation among the countries by forming task forces and adopting action plans and matters related to repatriate foreigners to relevant third countries through Thailand as soon as possible.
