Terrorists committing terrorist activities have been engaging in battles, firing heavy weapons and improvised rockets and dropping bombs using drones into the public towns, wards and villages.

 Since they are committing such terrorist acts, on 28 February 2025 at 1:10 PM, a report stated that a deceased man and a woman with shrapnel injuries were admitted to Kawkareik District Public Hospital in Kawkareik Township of Kayin State. When security personnel promptly arrived at the Hospital for further investigation, it was discovered that when a so-called PDF terrorist faction fired on No.2 Ward in Kawkareik Town, Kawkareik Township. One of the heavy weapon shells exploded within the ward. As a result, U Nay Win (40 years old), a resident of the ward, died on the spot, while his wife, Daw Hnin Si Aye (38 years old), also a resident of the ward, sustained shrapnel injuries, it is reported.
Due to the heinous acts of armed terrorists such as engaging in battles and firing of heavy weapons and improvised rockets within towns, wards and villages where innocent civilians peacefully reside, innocent civilians are injured or killed. Consequently, local residents are protesting vehemently against these acts of terrorism, completely refusing to accept them. Security personnel are intensifying necessary security measures in collaboration with the local residents, it is reported.
