In some townships across States and Regions, terrorists motivated by a radical ideology that views “anyone with differing views is an enemy” are conducting violent assaults and assassinations. Their targets are civil servants who do not support their terrorist acts. Using firearms and knives, these terrorists are committing brutal assassinations after accusing them of “spies, informants or decoys”. This strategy is intended to instill fear among peaceable civilians and create a pervasive sense of dread within these communities.
 Since they are committing such terrorist acts, on 15 March 2025 at 2:30 AM, a report stated that a man was shot dead in Thal Zar Village, Sidoktaya Township of Magway Region. When security personnel promptly arrived at the scene for further investigation, it was discovered that U Hlaing Myint Soe (36 years old), a resident of the village, was at his house when 20 so-called PDF terrorists arrived and opened fire on him, accusing him of being a “military informant”. As a result, U Hlaing Myint Soe died on the spot. Additionally, the terrorists took various types of gold items and 15,000,000 MMK in cash, it is reported.
Security personnel are persistently taking necessary measures to identify and apprehend the terrorists responsible for the killing and the assassination of innocent civilian in the aforementioned case, it is reported.
