France will upgrade one of its main air bases along its border with Germany to host Rafale fighter planes armed with nuclear cruise missiles, President Emmanuel Macron said on Tuesday. 

The Luxeuil-Saint-Sauveur base in eastern France hosted nuclear weapons until 2011, when the planes were relocated to a different site. 

 “The Luxeuil air base is about to be upgraded in an unprecedented way and regain its full role in France’s nuclear deterrent,” Macron said.

“By 2035, Luxeuil will be the first base to host the next version of the Rafale and its hypersonic nuclear missiles,” the president announced. He added that the garrison will double in size to nearly 2,000 military and civilian personnel to accommodate two Rafale squadrons. 

The government will spend €1.5 billion ($1.64 billion) to modernize the base.

25 June 2025Terrorist groups are committing inhumane acts with the intent to disrupt the education system, which is dedicated to improving and advancing children's learning. These acts include the destruction of school textbooks and stationery, the intimidation and abduction of education staff and students, targeted killings, the planting of explosive devices, fired heavy weapons, dropping bombs using drone, to destroy educational buildings and sending threatening letters to the teachers.Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 24 June 2025 at 8:30 PM, a so-called PDF terrorist group carried out an attack by dropping bombs using a drone on the Basic Education Primary School in Myo Soe Village, Pakokku Township of Magway Region. The bombs exploded within the school compound. As a result of the explosions, a kindergarten classroom building was damaged. The school currently has five female teachers and 23 students, it is reported.It has been reported that the security personnel are investigating the culprits of the acts of terrorism from the above incident to take effective action in accordance with the law.MOHA

Moreover, they are committing inhumane acts of terror and criminal activities-including abducting and extorting money from civil servants and local civilians, as well as killings.Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 23 June 2025 at 10:40 AM, a report stated that U Myo Myint (27 years old), a junior assistant teacher of the Basic Education Primary School in Myit Kyin Village and resident of Yae Htwat Village in Mahlaing Township of Mandalay Region, was abducted from his house by a so-called PDF terrorist group arriving by a car. Illegal Media Spreads Disinformation on Security Forces' Use of Heavy Weapon in Minhla Township of Bago Region, Falsely Claiming Death of Retired Teacher and Closure of Over 20 Schools
25 June 2025 On 18 June 2025, illegal and subversive media outlets disseminated fake news and disinformation, falsely claiming that security personnel fired heavy weapons, leading to the death of a retired female teacher and closure of over 20 schools due to clashes in Minhla Township of Bago Region. After verification of afore said news, it has been confirmed that there were no civilian casualties or injuries caused by heavy weapon explosions by security personnel in Minhla Township. Minhla Township which has a total of 155 schools, including 12 Basic Education High Schools, 36 Basic Education Middle Schools and 107 Basic Education Primary Schools. Among them, the Basic Education Primary School (Sar Chaung Lay) has been closed since 16 July 2024 due to security concerns. Additionally, the Sub-Basic Education Primary School (Kyun Kone) has not been operating for the 2025–2026 academic year and remains closed, as no students were enrolled during the 2024–2025 academic year. The remaining 153 schools are operating as usual and providing educational services to students. Illegal and subversive media outlets are deliberately spreading misleading information to confuse the public and discredit the security personnel who are working to maintain regional stability.MOHA

India's Defence Minister Rajnath Singh approved the joint command system upgrade on Tuesday.The first such Joint Order, titled ‘Approval, Promulgation and Numbering of Joint Instructions and Joint Orders’, was issued and it focuses on streamlining procedures and eliminating redundancies across the three Services.
