Two Innocent Civilians Injured in Heavy Weapon Attack by Terrorist Group in Ayardaw Township of Sagaing Region

  • Two innocent civilians were injured in a heavy weapon attack by a terrorist group in Ayardaw Township of Sagaing Region.

Terrorists committing inhumane acts have been engaging in battles, firing heavy weapons and improvised rockets and dropping bombs using drones into the residential areas, including towns, wards and villages.
 Since they are committing such terrorist acts, on 6 June 2025 at 11:00 AM, a report stated that two women with shrapnel injuries were admitted to Mandalay Public Hospital in Chanayetharzan Township of Mandalay Region. When security personnel arrived at the Hospital for further investigation, they discovered that the victims were identified as Daw Nyunt New (48 years old) and Daw Oo (47 years old), both residents of Myay Nat Village in Ayardaw Township of Sagaing Region. The incident occurred when a terrorist group fired heavy weapons into the victims’ village, resulting in their injuries, it is reported.
 Due to the heinous acts of armed terrorists such as engaging in battles and firing of heavy weapons and improvised rockets within towns, wards and villages where innocent civilians peacefully reside, innocent civilians have been injured or killed. Consequently, local residents are protesting vehemently against these acts of terrorism, completely refusing to accept them. Security personnel are intensifying necessary security measures in collaboration with the local residents, it is reported.
