The Ministry of Health continues its ongoing COVID-19 surveillance activities. Within a week from 8:00 PM on June 15, to 8:00 PM on June 22, a total of 2,199 laboratory samples were tested.

UN nuclear Chief warns of 'unimaginable' destruction without Iran diplomacy

The UN nuclear watchdog chief called for diplomacy and a return to negotiations over Iran's nuclear ambitions. "Otherwise, violence and destruction could reach unimaginable levels, and the global non-proliferation regime that has underpinned international security for more than half a century could crumble and fall," said Rafael Grossi, director of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). He also called for a cessation of hostilities.

Yangon palm oil reference price dips this week

The wholesale reference rate of palm oil set for the Yangon market slightly declined to K6,080 per viss for the week ending 29 June from K6,110 per viss in the previous week ending 22 June, according to the Supervisory Committee on Edible Oil Import and Distribution.
The Supervisory Committee on Edible Oil Import and Distribution under the Ministry of Commerce has been closely observing the FOB prices in Malaysia and Indonesia, adding transport costs, tariffs and banking services to decide the wholesale market reference rate for edible oil weekly.
