FALSE information circulating from malicious news media claimed that security forces burned two villages in Pinttha station in Kanbalu Township in Sagaing Region on 13 January.
Reports indicate that terrorist groups infiltrated towns and villages to engage in conflicts without considering the well-being of local communities, destroying residents’ lives and property. Security forces conducted necessary security operations in the area to prevent terrorist activities.
Malicious media twisted these efforts to spread false narratives and stir public unrest.

Insurgents committing terrorist activities have been engaging in battles, firing heavy weapons and improvised rockets and dropping bombs using drones into the public towns, wards and villages.
Since they are committing such terrorist acts, on 11 January 2025 at 11:15 AM, a so-called PDF terrorist group conducted an attack by dropping bombs on Ywar Thit Village in Pauk Township of Magway Region. The explosions caused near the village. As a result, Daw Kyi Khine (51 years old) and Daw Khin Nu (53 years old), both residents of the village, sustained shrapnel injuries. They are currently receiving medical treatment in the village, it is reported.
Similarly, at 11:40 AM, a so-called PDF terrorist group conducted an attack by dropping bombs on Sar Tike Ward in Kyauktaga Township of Bago Region. The explosions caused within the ward. As a result, Daw Lar Khar Pa Thee (39 years old), Mg Kit Sanar Lar (six years old) and Daw San Myint (62 years old), all residents of the ward, sustained shrapnel injuries and were transported to Kyauktaga Township Public Hospital for medical treatment. As a result, Daw Nway Nway (30 years old), a junior assistant teacher at the Basic Education Primary School of Pauk Kone Village and Daw Nwe Ni Win (50 years old), both residents of the village, sustained shrapnel injuries and were transported to Sin Phyu Kyun Station Hospital for medical treatment, it is reported.
Due to the heinous acts of armed terrorists such as engaging in battles and firing of heavy weapons and improvised rockets within towns, wards and villages where innocent civilians peacefully reside, innocent civilians are injured. Consequently, local residents are protesting vehemently against these acts of terrorism, completely refusing to accept them. Security personnel are intensifying necessary security measures in collaboration with the local residents, it is reported.

NORTH Korea fired several short-range ballistic missiles into the sea on Tuesday, according to Seoul’s military, in what experts said could be a message to US President-elect Donald Trump’s incoming administration.
The launch came as Japanese Foreign Minister Takeshi Iwaya visited South Korea for a series of meetings with top officials, with the Asian neighbours seeking to boost bilateral ties before Trump returns to office next week.
“The South Korean military detected several short-range ballistic missiles fired into the East Sea,” the military in Seoul said, referring to the body of water also known as the Sea of Japan.
South Korean and US intelligence agencies had monitored Pyongyang’s launch preparations, the military said, with Seoul maintaining “full readiness” and sharing information with Washington and Tokyo. — AFP

This strategy is intended to instill fear among peaceable civilians and create a pervasive sense of dread within these communities. Since they are committing such terrorist acts, on 10 January 2025 at 3:30 PM, a report stated that a man shot dead in Mee Kaunt Pin Village, Zigon Township of Bago Region. When security personnel promptly arrived at the scene for further investigation, it was discovered that the victim was U Myint Htway (61 years old), a resident of the village. While the victim was at his house, 10 so-called PDF terrorists arriving by six motorcycles and opened fire on him. As a result, the victim died on the spot. Additionally, the terrorists took a Daihatsu HIJET vehicle and a motorcycle from his house, it is reported.

Upon reaching a location near U-yin Village, four so-called PDF terrorists opened fire on him, accusing him of being a “decoy”. As a result, U Aung Min Lwin died on the spot, it is reported.

Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 10 January 2025 at 10:50 AM, a report stated that a man with shrapnel injuries had been admitted to the Township Public Hospital in Seikphyu Township of Magway Region. When security personnel promptly arrived at the Hospital for further investigation, it was discovered that Mg Aye Chan Aung (21 years old), a resident of Chin Taung Village in Seikphyu Township, had stepped on an explosive device planted by a so-called PDF terrorist group. The device exploded while he was herding goats along the railway track near the Kyar Inn Monastery, located approximately four furlongs west of his village, resulting in his injuries, it is reported.
It has been reported that the security personnel are investigating the culprits of the acts of terrorism from the above incident to take effective action in accordance with the law.

Similarly, at 5:20 PM, a report stated that a man with shrapnel injuries had been admitted to the Township Public Hospital in Salin Township. When security personnel promptly arrived at the hospital for further investigation, it was discovered that U Khin Soe (52 years old), a resident of Gway Pin Zin Village in Salin Township, had been returning home on foot from his farm. When he reached a location three furlongs south of his village, an explosive device planted by a so-called PDF terrorist group, exploded, resulting in his injuries, it is reported.

They were travelling from Khya-O Kyun Village to Sin Ku Village. When they arrived near U-yin Village, 10 so-called PDF terrorists opened fire on the vehicle and then fled. As a result, U Win Thint sustained gunshot injuries, while Mg Myo Zaw Hein and Ko Aung Lwin were unharmed, it is reported.
Security personnel are persistently taking necessary measures to identify and apprehend the terrorists responsible for the killing and assassination of innocent civilians in the aforementioned case, it is reported.
