Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 1 February 2025 at 7:00 AM, a report stated that an explosion occurred near Gon Kone Village, Salin Township of Magway Region. When security personnel promptly arrived at the scene for further investigation, it was discovered that Daw Thet Thet Lwin (40 years old), a resident of the village, was on her way to a farm approximately six furlongs west of her village. MALICIOUS news media have been found spreading false reports that security forces set fire to Kyauklone Village in Pauk Township, Magway Region, and arrested a civilian.
A responsible security official clarified that the reports of security forces burning down houses in the village were false and that no civilians were arrested. He added that insurgents who oppose regional stability have been intimidating residents. These groups are responsible for acts such as arson in villages that do not support them and the abduction or killing of civilians.
