Members of the United Nations Security Council discussed the airstrikes that Israel carried out in Gaza on Tuesday. Many called for the ceasefire to be reestablished. However, the United States pushed back on the idea.

Health authorities in Gaza say the attacks killed at least 404 people. The Palestinian Permanent Observer to the UN, Riyad Mansour, said, "Palestinians are being killed indiscriminately, are being denied humanitarian aid indiscriminately, are being maimed and detained indiscriminately."

Envoys from the UK, France and Russia joined Mansour in urging an immediate end to the fighting.

But the acting US Ambassador to the UN, Dorothy Shea, blamed the attacks on Hamas. She said, "It is well known that Hamas continues to use civilian infrastructure as launching pads, and the United States condemns this practice, as should others."

Israel's envoy said the attack was necessary because the militants have refused to release Israeli hostages.

Basem Naim, a member of the Hamas political bureau, told NHK his group will not give in. He said: "If Israel and the US believe that putting pressure on Hamas will lead to the release of the hostages, that's an illusion. We do not want to fight. But if it is necessary, we will defend ourselves by all means."

Naim added that the hostages will be released only when Israeli forces make a complete withdrawal from Gaza and when negotiators join talks on efforts to rebuild.

When security personnel promptly arrived at the scene for further investigation, it was discovered that U Mya Thein (aka) U Ba Htoo (64 years old) and his wife, Daw Myint Myint Sein (67 years old), both residents of the village, were at their house when two so-called PDF terrorists arriving by a motorcycle and opened fire on them, accusing them of being a “decoy couple”. As a result, the couple died on the spot, it is reported.
Security personnel are persistently taking necessary measures to identify and apprehend the terrorists responsible for the killings and the assassinations of innocent civilians in the aforementioned case, it is reported.

With the aim of creating an uneducated society by depriving children of their right to education and instilling fear among the public, the NUG, CRPH and their subordinate PDF terrorist groups, which have been designated as terrorist organizations by the government, are carrying out various destructive activities across the country. These include intimidation and coercion of students, teachers and parents abductions and killings and arson and bombing attacks on education facilities. In addition to these acts, PDF terrorists, driven by destructive intent, are vandalizing government efforts to develop the education sector. Their actions include burning textbooks and teaching materials, seizing educational resources by force and distributing threatening letters at schools.
 Since they are committing such terrorist acts, on 16 March 2025 a threatening letter was reportedly found at the Basic Education High School in Pa Yat Kyawl Village, Taungdwingyi Township of Magway Region. Security personnel arrived there for further investigation and found a "warning notice" pasted to the door of staff housing within the school compound, along with a 7.62 x 39 bullet. The notice read “To U Ye Win Hlaing, a teacher at the Basic Education Middle School in Nyar Taw Village, Taungdwingyi Township and Daw Ya Mon Phyu, a teacher at Pa Yat Kyawl Basic Education High School are warned with a bullet by the Magway Guerrilla Force, PDF "Bo Thar Ti," the guerrilla leader”. The security personnel removed both the letter and the bullet.
Security personnel are taking necessary measures to identify and apprehend as per security procedures and take legal action against those terrorists doing such terrorist acts with the intent to disrupt school openings as well as to intimidate students, teachers and parents, it is reported.

Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 16 March 2025 at 11:20 AM, a report stated that two men with shrapnel injuries were admitted to Salin Township Public Hospital of Magway Region. When security personnel promptly arrived at the hospital for further investigation, it was discovered that U Khine Lwin Oo (41 years old), a resident of Tha Myin Kin Village in Salin Township and U Myo Zay Yar (41 years old), a resident of Kye Theik Village, were heading to a farm on a motorcycle, approximately six furlongs south of Kye Thike Village. When they approached the farm, an explosive device planted by a so-called PDF terrorist faction detonated, resulting in their injuries. Unfortunately, U Myo Zay Yar succumbed to his injuries while receiving medical treatment, it is reported.
 It has been reported that the security personnel are investigating the culprits of the acts of terrorism from the above incident to take effective action in accordance with the law.

Israeli forces say they have conducted extensive airstrikes on targets belonging to Hamas in the Gaza Strip early on Tuesday.

Palestinian health ministry officials reported at least 200 dead and many of the dead were children. This is believed to be the largest air attack on Gaza since a ceasefire took hold in the enclave in January.

Strikes were reported in multiple locations, including northern Gaza, Gaza City and the Deir al-Balah, Khan Younis and Rafah in central and southern Gaza Strip.

THE opening ceremonies for the People’s Military Service Training 11 were held at various military commands yesterday.
Eligible citizens attended the military training in their respective regions. The commandants of training depots gave opening speeches.
The region and state chief ministers, commanders, and relevant officials attended the events, greeted trainees and presented cash prizes and materials to them.
The People’s Military Service Law was enacted as every citizen is under a duty to safeguard Our Three Main National Causes: Non-disintegration of the Union, Non-disintegration of national solidarity and Perpetuation of sovereignty. The People’s Military Service Law came into effect on 10 February 2024 aiming to conduct military training courses. As a result, U Hlaing Myint Soe died on the spot. Additionally, the terrorists took various types of gold items and 15,000,000 MMK in cash, it is reported.
