Order No.1/2025: Revocation of the order on transfer of state power

The National Defence and Security Council issued an Order No.1/2025 on Thursday concerning the revocation of the order on transfer of state power. In accordance with Articles 417 and 418 of the Constitution of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, a state of emergency was declared, and the Commander-in-Chief of the Defence Services was entrusted with the responsibility of exercising State power.

Appreciation Meeting: Honouring the State Administration Council

A ceremony honouring the State Administration Council of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar was held at the Zeyathiri Beikman in Nay Pyi Taw on Wednesday. Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing attended the event and delivered a speech.

He emphasized that the Tatmadaw is part of the state and that Tatmadawmen are part of the people. The Government and Tatmadaw have worked together to achieve lasting peace in the country, where national brethren live in unity and harmony.

The Prime Minister added that the State Administration Council government has implemented the KG+9 compulsory education system as part of the education reform process, contributing to the development of human resources needed for economic progress.

He reiterated that terrorists had committed destructive acts to prevent academic learning, the operation of hospitals and clinics, and business activities. He noted that such acts have only led to the deterioration of the socio-economic conditions of local communities, affecting health, education, and the economy.

He stated that agriculture and livestock are the primary sources of livelihood for rural populations, and that improving their social status could contribute to national economic development and poverty reduction. Highlighting the broad sown acreage of 6.39 million acres along the Ayeyawady and Chindwin rivers, the Prime Minister urged all to strive for double cropping to achieve higher yields and strengthen the nation’s economy.

Regarding the political process, the Prime Minister stressed the importance of having well-educated individuals with critical thinking skills represent the Hluttaw, as it is a legislative body. He also emphasized the need for collaboration among all stakeholders to ensure the participation of all eligible citizens in the voting process.

The Prime Minister expressed thanks to all stakeholders for their hard works and urged all to continue support for the journey ahead. After the meeting, a luncheon was served while the Myawady Music Band entertained with melodious songs.

A joint meeting between the Myanmar delegation led by the Deputy Prime Minister and Union Minister for Foreign Affairs U Than Swe, and the delegation led by Chairman of the China International Development Cooperation Agency (CIDCA) Mr. Chen Xiaodong, was held at Park Royal Hotel in Nay Pyi Taw on 24th July.

During the meeting, they discussed and exchanged views on providing the assistance from CIDCA for post-earthquake recovery and rehabilitation, and promoting cooperation between the Government of Myanmar and CIDCA. Particularly, they discussed priority projects to be implemented in the sectors of construction, health, basic infrastructure and disaster management.

Moreover, they exchanged views to continue increasing momentum on building a community with a shared future that shares weal and woe through comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership and deepening Swe Myo Pauk-Phaw friendship between Myanmar and China.

Approval for Party Formation: UEC approved PNDP to form political party

Individuals intending to establish political parties have been applying to the Union Election Commission (UEC), stating the names of the parties they wish to form.

As of July 23rd, a total of 27 groups have submitted applications for party formation. Among these, the Pa-O National Development Party was found to be in compliance with the Political Parties Registration Law and By-laws. Therefore, the Commission has approved its application to establish a political party on 23rd of July.

Individuals intending to establish political parties have been applying to the Union Election Commission (UEC), stating the names of the parties they wish to form.

As of July 23rd, a total of 27 groups have submitted applications for party formation. Paying Tribute to Martyrs: 78th Anniversary Martyrs’ Day ceremony in Yangon

The 78th Anniversary Martyrs’ Day was observed at the Martyrs’ Mausoleum in Yangon on 19th July.

Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing attended the ceremony, and cordially greeted the family members of martyrs and guests. After that, the Prime Minister laid wreaths of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar at the mausoleum and paid tribute to late General Aung San and martyrs.

The 78th Anniversary Martyrs’ Day was observed at the Martyrs’ Mausoleum in Yangon on 19th July.

Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing attended the ceremony, and cordially greeted the family members of martyrs and guests. After that, the Prime Minister laid wreaths of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar at the mausoleum and paid tribute to late General Aung San and martyrs.

Union Ministers, Work Committee Chairman Yangon Region Chief Minister, senior military officers from the Commander-in-Chief Office, Commander of Yangon Command, deputy Ministers and attendees also paid tribute to fallen leaders. Meanwhile, the State Flag was lowered to half-mast.

The Guard of Honour presented arms and the military bugle sounded the last post, and then they observed a two-minute silence in remembrance of fallen martyrs leaders. This was followed by laying wreaths of the families of the martyrs, representatives from the Yangon Region government, those from political parties, heads of foreign missions to Myanmar and Charges d’ Affaires of foreign embassies. Representatives from various organizations and associations also laid wreaths to pay tribute at the mausoleum of General Aung San and fallen leaders. Likewise, people also paid tribute to the martyrs at the mausoleum.

The 78th Anniversary Martyrs’ Day was observed at the Martyrs’ Mausoleum in Yangon on 19th July.

Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing attended the ceremony, and cordially greeted the family members of martyrs and guests. After that, the Prime Minister laid wreaths of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar at the mausoleum and paid tribute to late General Aung San and martyrs.

Union Ministers, Work Committee Chairman Yangon Region Chief Minister, senior military officers from the Commander-in-Chief Office, Commander of Yangon Command, deputy Ministers and attendees also paid tribute to fallen leaders. Meanwhile, the State Flag was lowered to half-mast.

The Guard of Honour presented arms and the military bugle sounded the last post, and then they observed a two-minute silence in remembrance of fallen martyrs leaders.
