Terrorists carried out inhumane acts using explosive devices by capitalizing on unguarded moments of security personnel
In order to cause injuries to both peaceable civilians and administrative authorities who are striving to restore the rule of law, extreme terrorists provide financial assistance and instigate destructive activities, such as detonating explosive devices and remote blasting, against public roads, railways, government offices and houses.
Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 12 February 2025 at 9:10 AM, a report stated that a woman with shrapnel injuries was admitted to the Phyu Township Public Hospital of Bago Region. When security personnel promptly arrived at the hospital for further investigation, it was discovered that the victim was Daw Phu Ku Mar Thi (45 years old), a resident of Yan Kit Village in Kyaukgyi Township. The incident occurred when the victim was farming near Thar Si Village. She stepped on an explosive device planted by a faction of KNU members supporting terrorism, along with so-called PDF terrorists, causing it to detonate and resulting in her injuries, it is reported.
Similarly, at 11:10 AM, a report stated that a man with shrapnel injuries was admitted to No (2/5) Field Medical Unit in Kawkariek Township of Kayin State. When security personnel promptly arrived at the unit for further investigation, it was discovered that the victim was Ko Soe Lin Aung (aka) Kyar Lay (20 years old), a resident of Thadar Khyo Village in Kawkareik Township. The incident occurred while the victim was working at a rubber plantation near Thadar Khyo Village. He stepped on an explosive device planted by a faction of KNU members supporting terrorism, along with so-called PDF terrorists, causing it to detonate and resulting in his injuries, it is reported.
It has been reported that the security personnel are investigating the culprits of the acts of terrorism from the above incidents to take effective action in accordance with the law.
